Help! My Washer Leaks Water!

  • Pump Leaks
  • Inlet Valve Leaks

Pump Leaks This is easy to replace. Remove the two spring clamps from washer pump then remove hoses from pump. Pull pump off shaft. If motor shaft is rusted and pump will not pull off, the pump may have to be fragmented with large screwdriver or chisel. Motor shaft will then need to be cleaned of all rust and possibly filed so new pump will slide on easily.

Inlet Valve Leaks Other possible leaks can come from other areas. Check all rubber hoses for wear and tight connection.

Help! My Motor Runs But Will Not Spin or Agitate!

  • Motor Coupler
  • Transmission

Motor coupler Motor coupler part is defective. Usually you will see a pile of black rubber and possibly white plastic bits under the motor if this is the problem, but not always! Remove pump from motor and secure away from front of motor. It is not necessary to remove hoses. Use tie clips wire, etc. Remove two 5/16 screws from spring clips. With flat blade screw driver remove bottom springg clip from washer motor and then the top spring clip. Hold motor from bottom to keep from falling when top clip is removed. Remove motor, remove damaged coupler from motor and transmission. Transmission does not need to be removed. Instal new coupler part on motor and transmission. Then install white plastic on transmission first and black rubber center on this part. To avoid damage to the motor when tapping remaining white plastic on motor, make sure opposite end of motor shaft is on a hard surface.

Transmission To remove transmission, the agitator must first be removed. Under the agitatior cap there will be a screw to remove, then agitator should lift out.
