Roper Range Bake / Broil Igniter

Parts Number – WP8054129

This part is used on some Roper gas ovens to ignite the gas burner with its spark electrode.  It is the ignition device for the bake or broil setting on your range.  The common symptom of a bad igniter is, the gas burner will not light.  Please remember to disconnect your appliance from its electrical power source and turn off the gas before attempting to repair it.

Roper Electric Range Surface Element 8″

Part Number – WP660533

This surface coil element is used on the cooktop surface of some electric range models.  The surface burner is 2600 watts and measures 8 inches in diameter.  It has a five turn heating coil with rolled terminal ends.  If your range has a surface element that is not heating you can test the element for continuity using a multi-meter.  Please be aware: That some range parts can hold their heat for quite a while after you have turned the appliance off.  It is suggest that you wear gloves while performing tests or inspecting any of your range surface elements, to prevent yourself from getting burned.  If the element shows that it has continuity you will need to test the surface element switch also known and the infinite switch, also check the element terminal block for damage.  Please remember to disconnect the electricity to your appliance before servicing it.

Roper Range Temperature Sensor

Part Number – WPW10181986

This sensor works in conjunction with the ranges main control board to regulate and measure the temperature inside of the oven compartment.  If you have noticed the oven temperature is inaccurate or fluctuates by 50 degrees or more, the sensor is more than likely defective and will need to be replaced with a new part.  Please be sure to use your model number when searching for parts, to be sure that it is the correct part for your particular range model.

Roper Gas Range Safety Valve

Part Number – WPW10293048
This gas valve is used on a gas oven to sense a desired amount of heat.
Once it has sensed the desired amount of heat it will open the valve to
let the gas flow to the oven burner where it will then be ignited into
flame and used to heat the oven.  Please remember to disconnect the
electrical power source to the unit before attempting to repair it.

Roper Range Thermal Fuse

Part Number – WP3196548

This thermal fuse is used as a safety device in case the range should overheat.  This fuse will shut the range off to prevent a fire. Please remember to unplug or disconnect the electricity to your range before making this repair.

Roper Range Bake Element

Part Number – WPW10308477

This bake element is located inside the bottom part of the oven cavity on some free standing range models.  The bake element has (2) flat spade push-in terminal ends.  Some common symptoms of a bad bake element are,  the element will not heat up, trips the circuit breakers when turned on or blows the fuse.  Don’t forget to disconnect the electricity, turn the breaker dedicated to the unit off or pull the fuses, before you begin to test or replace this part.  Please be sure and enter your model number to ensure that this is the correct part for your specific appliance.

Roper Range Broil Element

Part Number – W10856603

This broil element is located inside the top part of the oven cavity of some range models, and it is used for broiling.  Sometimes the broiler element is used to help preheat an oven faster.  If your element is bad you should be able to visually see some damage, such as, blistering, bubbles, burn marks, burnt or melted element terminal ends.  If none of the mentioned damage is found, you can test the element for continuity with an OHM meter.  If your element shows that it has continuity, then the element is good and more troubleshooting will need to be performed.

Roper Electric Range Surface Element 6″

This surface element is used for an electric range, it is located on the cooktop surface.  The element measures 6 inches in diameter with rolled terminal ends.  If the element is not heating it can be tested for continuity using a multi-meter.  If the surface element has continuity the part is good and you will need to test the element terminal block and the surface element switch.  Please don’t forget to turn off the electricity to your appliance, before you begin the removal or replacement of any parts.

Touch-up Paint (White)

Part Number – 72017

This touch-up paint can be used on the metal console of a white electric or gas range.  If your range has unsightly chips or scratches, this touch-up paint will fix the damaged areas.  The paint is white in color and comes in a (6) fluid ounce bottle with a brush for a smooth, easy touch-up application.

This heating element measures 6 inches and is used on the cooktop surface of some electric range models, for cooking.  It is a three turn coil element with rolled terminal ends to push in or pull out of the range receptacle.  Remember to disconnect the electricity to the range before you begin to service it.  Please be sure and use the model number on your appliance to ensure that this is the correct part for your specific model.
