Broil Element

Parts Number – W10856603

This broil element is used on some Whirlpool electric ovens for broiling with.  The element is often used to help preheat the oven faster when baking or cooking.  If the broiling element is bad, you should be able to see some visual damage, such as, blistering, bubbles, burned marks, burnt or melted terminal ends.  If any of the mentioned damage is present to the element, it will need to be replaced.  Please be aware: that some range parts can hold their heat for quite a while after you have turned the appliance off.  It is suggested that you wear gloves while performing tests or inspecting any broil element, to prevent any injuries.

Thermal Fuse

Part Number – WP3196548

This thermal fuse is used as a safety device in case the range should overheat. This fuse will shut the range off to prevent a fire or any further damage to the appliance from happening.  Please remember to disconnect the electricity to your range before replacing this part.

Bake Element

Part Number – WPW10308477

This bake element is located inside the bottom part of the oven cavity, on some free-standing electric range models.  The bake element has (2) flat push-on spade terminal ends.  Some common symptoms of a bad bake element are, the element will not heat, trips the circuit breakers when turned on or blows a fuse.  Remember to disconnect the electricity to the range before attempting to repair it or you can turn the breaker dedicated to the unit off or pull the main fuses.  Please be sure to enter your model number to ensure that this is the correct part for your particular electric range.

Temperature Sensor

Part Number – WPW10181986

This oven sensor works in conjunction with the ranges main control board to regulate and measure the temperature inside the oven compartment.  If you have noticed that the oven temperature is inaccurate or fluctuates by 50 degrees or more, the sensor is more than likely defective, and it will need to be replaced with a new sensor.  Please be sure to use your model number.

Gas Safety Valve

Part Number – WPW10293048
This gas valve is used on a gas range to sense a desired amount of heat.
Once it has sensed the desired amount of heat it will open the valve to
let the gas flow to the oven burner where it will then be ignited into
flame and used to heat the oven.  Please remember to disconnect the
electrical power source to the unit before you begin to repair it.

Bake / Broil Igniter

Part Number – WP8054129

This igniter is used to ignite the oven gas burner with its spark electrode.  It is the ignition device for the bake or broil setting on your range.  The common symptom of a bad igniter is, the gas burner will not light.

Surface Element 8 inch

Part Number – WP660533

This surface coil burner is used on the cooktop surface of some electric range models.  The surface burner is 2600 watts and measures 8 inches in diameter.  It has a five-turn coil element with rolled terminal ends.  If your surface element is not heating, you can test the part for continuity using a multi-meter.  If the element shows that it has continuity you will need to test the surface element switch and the elements terminal block and replace them if needed.

Surface Heating Element 6″

Part Number – WPW10345407

This heating element measures 6 inches in diameter and is used on the surface of a range for cooking on.  It is a three-turn coil element with rolled terminal ends that simply push in or pull out of the oven receptacle.  Don’t forget to disconnect the electricity to the unit before you begin to service it.  Please be sure and use the model number on your appliance to be certain that this is the correct small element for your range model.

Surface Element 6″

Part Number – WP660532

This surface element is used on the cooktop surface of some electric range models.  This surface element measures 6 inches in diameter, and it has rolled terminal ends.  If your range has an element that is not heating, you can test it for continuity by using a multi-meter.  If the surface element has continuity the part is good, and you will need to test the element terminal and the element control switch / infinite switch.

Touch-up Paint – White

Part Number – 72017

This touch-up paint can be used on the exterior of your white range.  If your gas or electric range has unsightly chips or scratches, this touch-up paint will fix the damaged areas.  The paint is white in color and comes in a 6 fluid ounce bottle with a brush for a smooth and easy touch-up application to the exterior of your appliance.
