Whirlpool Refrigerator Condenser Fan Motor

These condenser fan motor parts are used on the refrigerator to move air across the condenser coil.  The kit included the following parts – motor, fan blade, screws and wire harness.  This replacement kit has been redesigned and updated by the manufacturer and may not look the same as the original components.  This is an authentic OEM replacement kit and will function the same as the refrigerator’s original parts.  The most common complaints that the condenser fan motor has failed are, the fridge is warm, the freezer is warm, both the freezer and fridge are warm, noisy in the freezer section.  Remember to unplug the electrical power cord to your fridge before making this repair.

Whirlpool Evaporator Fan Motor for Refrigerator

The evaporator fan motor is used to circulate air over the refrigerator coils which converts heat from the coil into cold air that is then circulated throughout the refrigerator from the spinning fan.  This part is located in the back of the freezer compartment.  Some signs that this part has failed are, noisy, fridge too warm, freezer too warm, fridge and freezer too warm.  Always unplug or disconnect the electrical power source to the refrigerator before attempting to repair it.

Whirlpool OEM Refrigerator Start Device and Capacitor

The start relay, and the run capacitor parts are both mounted on the side of the refrigerator’s compressor.  The start relay is used to help start the compressor as a jump start device.  If the start device and capacitor are not working the compressor might not start running.  Always unplug or disconnect the electrical power source to the fridge before attempting to replace these parts.

This cold control thermostat is used for the refrigerator and freezer compartments as a temperature sensor.  The most common symptoms of a failed temperature control thermostat are, the fridge won’t start, runs too long, is too cold, too warm or won’t start at all.

Whirlpool Side-by-Side Refrigerator Ice Bucket Assembly

Refrigerator ice container with auger.  This ice bucket is used to catch and store the ice that is produced from the ice maker.  The auger inside the ice container is used to rotate and move the ice cubes forward to the dispenser.  The new auger may be made of either metal or plastic depending on which factory produced these replacement parts.

The defrost heater is used to heat the evaporator during the defrost cycle.  The heater is mounted at the bottom of the evaporator.  When replacing the defrost heater the thermostat should be replaced as well.  The most common symptoms that the heater has failed are, the fridge is warm, the freezer is warm, the freezer does not defrost, no ice cubes.

This bimetal defrost thermostat is a clip-on thermostat, it is located in the freezer section of the refrigerator.  The thermostat is used to control the temperature rise in the freezer during the defrost cycle.  The most common signs that the thermostat has failed are, the fridge temperature is warm, freezer is warm, icemaker not producing ice, freezer will not defrost.

Part Number – 4388931

This adaptive defrost control part is used to determine when and how often the defrost mode should cycle.  The defrost heater and the defrost thermostat should be tested with a multi-meter before replacing this part.  If both the defrost thermostat and heater test good, the control board has more than likely failed and will need to be replaced.  Unplug the fridge before attempting to replace this part.

Whirlpool OEM Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve

Part Number – WP2315576

Single water inlet valve.  This part is used to control the flow of water into the icemaker mold, when activated.  This part is solenoid operated.   When it is energized the water in the supply line will pass through the valve body and into the ice mold.  Symptoms of a water inlet valve that has failed are, leaking water, no water to the icemaker, icemaker won’t make ice.  Unplug or disconnect the electrical power source to the refrigerator before replacing this part.  You will also need to turn off the water source to the appliance.
